Math
Hi Grade 7's,
As you know we are starting our unit in Number Sense and Numeration.
The main expectation that we will be meeting in our clas is:
"Use a variety of mental strategies to solve problems involving the addition and subtraction of fractions and decimals"
Since this can seem like very challenging concepts for some people, I have provided some useful websites for you all to explore at home.
http://www.times-tables.com/times_tables_test/times_tables_test.htm
You can use this to warm up your multiplications skills! When you add fractions, this skill might come in handy.
http://www.visualfractions.com/
On this site you can learn more about the addition and subtraction of fractions.
http://hometown.aol.com/iongoal/mathlessons.htm
On this site you can practice your arithmetic skills. When you log into the page, click 'fractions', and then 'additon and subtraction'.
Hope these sites help!
Enjoy your day...
